# Core APIs

> Read your practice's structured data — locations, patients, scheduling, billing, and reporting — for dashboards, reporting, and syncing into your own systems.

The Core API is TeamCare's read layer. It exposes your practice's own data through opt-in, HIPAA-compliant endpoints, so you can build dashboards, run reporting, or keep an external system in sync with TeamCare as the source of truth.

v2 is served from `https://api.teamcaredental.com/api/v2/vendors`. Every location-scoped request carries a `request_key` in the `X-Vendor-Request-Key` header instead of a `location_id` in the URL; see [Quickstart](https://docs.teamcaredental.com/v2/quickstart.md) for the flow.

## What you can pull

* **Practice** — organizations, locations, operatories, and staff.
* **Patients & Clinical** — patient records, referrals, and treatment plans.
* **Scheduling** — appointments, appointment types, and scheduling leads.
* **Billing & Insurance** — ledgers, insurance claims, verifications and plans, claim payments, and fee schedules.
* **Reporting** — daily and monthly production stats and dashboard metrics.

Every request is authenticated with a bearer token — see [Authentication](https://docs.teamcaredental.com/authentication.md) to get one, then request a slot for a location and open any endpoint in the sidebar to try it live.
